Where It All Began – Event & Ticket Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all tickets purchased for Where It All Began (“the Festival”), organised by Grassroots Rising CIC (“we”, “us”, “our”). By purchasing, holding, or using a ticket, you agree to comply with these Terms.
1. Event Overview
1.1. The Festival will take place from Thursday 18th June to Monday 22nd June 2026.
1.2. It is scheduled to take place at Grange Farm, Abbots Ripton, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire (former Secret Garden Party site).
1.2. Vehicle gates open at 11:00am on Thursday 18th June 2026.
1.3. Limited venue and entertainment areas will open on Thursday afternoon into the evening. All stages and performance areas will operate from Friday 19th June 2026 to close.
1.4. The Festival site closes on Monday morning; all attendees and vehicles must vacate the site by 12:00 noon on Monday 22nd June 2026.
2. Ticket Purchase & Entry
2.1. All tickets are sold subject to availability and these Terms.
2.2. Tickets will initially be offered via a Crowdfunder UK campaign as part of the Festival’s launch. These “Festival Founder” tickets are full weekend camping tickets available exclusively through the Crowdfunder platform. No additional booking or service fees apply to tickets purchased via Crowdfunder.
2.3. Upon the successful completion of the Crowdfunder campaign, all other tickets will be sold through our authorised ticketing agent (details to be confirmed and published on our official website). Tickets purchased via the ticket agent may be subject to additional booking or service fees above face value.
2.4. Only tickets secured via the official Festival Crowdfunder or our authorised ticket agent(s) are valid for entry. Tickets purchased from unauthorised sellers or secondary markets may be refused.
2.5. Tickets will be issued electronically by our ticket agent a few weeks ahead of the event and must be presented for scanning or validation on arrival.
2.6. Wristbands will be provided at the gate and must be worn at all times. Lost or damaged wristbands will not be replaced.
2.7. Entry and re-entry are permitted only during official gate opening hours.
2.8. We reserve the right to refuse admission or eject anyone who breaches these Terms, acts in an unsafe or anti-social manner, or where safety may otherwise be at risk.
2.9. Tickets are a revocable license to attend the Festival.

Holding a ticket does not guarantee entry. Entry is subject to compliance with these Terms, health & safety rules, and steward instructions.

We reserve the right to refuse admission, revoke access, or eject anyone who breaches these Terms, behaves in an unsafe or anti-social manner, or for any other legitimate reason.

Revocation of a ticket in these circumstances does not entitle the holder to a refund, except where required by law.

4. Recycling Deposit Scheme
4.1. To support our environmental sustainability goals, all adult ticket holders will be charged a £10 refundable recycling deposit.
4.2. This deposit will be refunded after the Festival via our ticket agent to any attendee who returns sorted recycling and waste to the designated on-site recycling area before leaving.
4.3. Full details of the recycling system, deposit process, and refund method will be published prior to the event.
5. Refunds, Exchanges & Cancellation
5.1. All tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable, except as set out below.
5.2. If the Festival is cancelled in full (and not rescheduled), ticket holders will be entitled to a refund of the ticket face value. Refunds for Crowdfunder purchases will be processed in accordance with Crowdfunder UK’s refund policy.
5.3. If the Festival is postponed or rescheduled, tickets will automatically remain valid for the new date. Refunds may be requested within a reasonable timeframe if you cannot attend.
5.4. We are not responsible for any additional costs (e.g. travel, accommodation) arising from cancellation or rescheduling.
5.5. The line-up and advertised attractions are subject to change. Refunds will not be issued due to artist cancellations or alterations beyond our control.
5.6. Force Majeure: The Festival reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or alter the event due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to severe weather, fire, flood, government action, pandemic, or other force majeure events.
5.7. In the event of a force majeure cancellation, tickets may be refunded at the Festival’s discretion or according to the ticket agent/Crowdfunder policies.
5.8. The Festival is not liable for any additional costs, losses, or damages incurred by attendees as a result of force majeure events.
6. Camping & Vehicles
Camping
6.1. Camping is only permitted for attendees with a valid weekend camping ticket.
6.2. Campers must use designated camping areas and respect fellow guests.
6.3. Quiet hours apply between midnight and 8:00am.
6.4. Small open fires are permitted only in raised fire pits and must be attended at all times. Fires must follow Health & Safety guidelines:

Keep at least 3 meters away from tents, structures, and other flammable materials

Do not use in windy conditions

Extinguish completely before leaving the area
6.5. Please keep your camping area tidy and take all belongings and waste home.
6.7. The Festival accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to property in the campsite.
Vehicles, Parking, Campervans & Caravans
6.8. Vehicle access and parking are only permitted in designated car parks or campervan/caravan fields. All vehicles must display a valid parking or campervan/caravan pass.
6.9. Parking is at the vehicle owner’s risk. We accept no responsibility for loss or damage to vehicles or contents.
6.10. Sleeping in cars or vans in the general car park is not permitted. Only vehicles in the designated campervan/caravan fields may be used for sleeping.
6.11. Each campervan/caravan pitch is restricted to one vehicle per pass and may include a small awning or tent within the allocated pitch area.
6.12. Caravans must hold a valid campervan pass. The towing vehicle must unhitch and park separately in the general car park as directed.
6.13. Campervans and caravans must be roadworthy and comply with DVLA and safety standards. Homemade or unsafe vehicles may be refused entry.
6.14. No electric hook-ups are available; attendees must be self-sufficient for power needs.
6.15. No vehicle movement is allowed within campsite areas during the Festival except in emergencies or with prior authorisation.
6.16. Generators, open fires (except as permitted in raised pits), and fuel storage are prohibited unless pre-approved for accessibility use.
6.17. The Festival reserves the right to remove any vehicle breaching these conditions.
7. Accessibility
7.1. The Festival provides an Accessible Camping Area and Accessible Campervan Field with appropriate facilities.
7.2. Access passes must be booked in advance by emailing access@grassrootsrising.org.
7.3. Free Personal Assistant/Carer tickets are available once a standard attendee ticket is secured, subject to proof of eligibility (such as a valid Access Card, DLA/PIP letter, or GP note confirming support needs).
8. Prohibited Items
The following are not permitted anywhere on site:

Glass bottles or containers

Illegal drugs or substances

Nitrous oxide (including canisters or paraphernalia)

Weapons or anything that could be used as a weapon

Fireworks, flares, or pyrotechnics

Drones or remote-controlled devices

Generators (unless pre-approved for accessibility reasons)

Large sound systems or amplified equipment

Laser pens or high-powered torches
-
Professional photography or recording equipment (without prior consent)

Excessive alcohol (the Festival reserves the right to limit quantities)

Any item deemed unsafe or disruptive by Festival staff

Bags and vehicles may be searched on entry. Prohibited items will be confiscated and may not be returned.
9. Alcohol & Drugs
9.1. Proof of age is required to purchase alcohol.
9.2. The Festival operates a strict “Challenge 25” policy.
9.3. Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited. Possession or use will result in ejection and possible police involvement.
10. Behaviour & Safety
10.1. All attendees must act respectfully towards others, staff, and performers.
10.2. Aggressive, discriminatory, or anti-social behaviour will result in ejection without refund.
10.3. Follow all steward, staff, and emergency service instructions.
10.4. In emergencies, move calmly to designated safety points as directed.
11. Photography, Filming & Intellectual Property
11.1. The Festival may be filmed, recorded, or photographed by official staff and accredited media.
11.2. By entering, attendees grant irrevocable consent to appear in official media for promotional or archival purposes.
11.3. All intellectual property rights in such materials are owned exclusively by Where It All Began and Grassroots Rising CIC (or its authorised partners).
11.4. Personal photography for non-commercial use is permitted.
11.5. Drones and professional recording equipment are prohibited without written authorisation.
12. Liability
12.1. Attendance is at your own risk. We accept no liability for injury, illness, or loss except where caused by our negligence.
12.2. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or other liabilities that cannot be excluded by law.
13. Environmental Commitment
13.1. We encourage attendees to travel sustainably – car share, use public transport, or book Festival coaches/shuttles (full details to be released later).
13.2. The Festival is committed to eliminating single-use plastics. Attendees are asked to avoid bringing disposable straws, cups, or cutlery.
13.3. All Festival bars will operate a reusable cup scheme, and free water refill points will be available.
13.4. Recycling and Waste Sorting: All attendees must separate waste into designated recycling and compost bins. Participation is incentivised through the £10 refundable recycling deposit.
13.5. Eco-friendly Vendors: Food, drink, and merchandise vendors must minimise packaging and use compostable or reusable materials wherever possible.
13.6. Leave No Trace: All attendees must leave camping areas and communal spaces free from litter.
13.7. Energy and Lighting: The Festival will use energy-efficient lighting and production equipment employing renewable energy solutions wherever possible. The Festival will use renewable energy sources, green tariff mains electricity, and HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) generators to reduce carbon emissions.
14. Changes to the Event and These Terms
14.1. The Festival and Grassroots Rising CIC reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.
14.2. Attendees will be notified of significant changes prior to the event where practicable.
14.3 The Festival reserves the right to amend, modify, or cancel any part of the event, including performers, lineup, schedule, venues, camping areas, facilities, or services.
14.4 While we aim to deliver the event as advertised, tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable due to lineup or schedule changes unless required by law or at the Festival’s discretion.
